Software & Intellectual Property Terms
Ownership of Denton BBQ frameworks, SaaS products, reusable components, custom project deliverables, open-source software, and client materials.
Effective September 24, 2026
1. Denton BBQ Background Technology
Denton BBQ retains ownership of its pre-existing and independently developed software, frameworks, libraries, templates, workflows, utilities, methods, architecture, know-how, reusable components, internal tools, and other background intellectual property.
2. Denton BBQ SaaS Products
Denton BBQ-owned software-as-a-service products are licensed for use and are not sold to subscribers unless a separate written acquisition or license agreement states otherwise. Subscriber data remains subject to the applicable data-ownership terms.
3. Custom Client Work
Ownership or licensing of client-specific custom code and deliverables is governed by the applicable proposal, statement of work, or service agreement. Unless expressly transferred in writing, Denton BBQ does not waive ownership of reusable or generalized components merely because they are used in a client project.
4. Client Materials
The client retains ownership of its trademarks, logos, copy, photographs, documents, proprietary data, and other materials supplied by the client. The client grants Denton BBQ the limited rights necessary to use those materials to perform the contracted services.
5. Third-Party and Open-Source Components
Projects may include third-party or open-source software subject to separate licenses. Those components remain governed by their respective license terms and are not transferred beyond the rights allowed by those licenses.
